San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park

Located only 4.5 miles from Hyatt Regency San Francisco, Golden Gate Park is an expansive 1,017 acre urban oasis with a lake, beautiful gardens, a 9-hole golf course, running trails, and green spaces with views of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. The Park is home to exciting attractions, including the Japanese Tea Garden, California Academy of Sciences, Conservatory of Flowers, de Young Museum and Garden of Shakespeare's Flowers. 

Conservatory of Flowers

The oldest building in Golden Gate Park, the Conservatory of Flowers is home to over 1,700 aquatic and tropical plants. One of the most renowned attractions is the 100-year old giant Imperial philodendron, an extraordinary collection of orchids, carnivorous plants and giant water lilies.  

Japanese Tea Garden

The peaceful Japanese Tea Garden is the oldest tea garden in the United States. Created as a part of the 1894 Japanese Village exhibit of the International Expo, the garden is made up of lush landscaping, winding pathways and five acres of traditional Japanese garden art. 

Stow Lake

Stow Lake is a 12-acre lake at Golden Gate Park and is a popular spot for walking, jogging, picnicking and pedal boating. The donut shaped lake encircles Strawberry Hill Island that features a cascading 110-foot waterfall called Huntington Falls.

California Academy of Sciences

The California Academy of Sciences is a revolutionary education and research institution featuring an aquarium, natural history museum and the world’s largest all digital planetarium. Top exhibits include the four-story Rainforests of the World dome and the Philippine Coral Reef.
